This is a little program I put together to add to the terror of F.E.A.R. It does not run during the game, or use any part of the game. It allows Alma to "take over" your computer temporarily. (All she does is pop up at random and play a very creepy noise). It uses very little system resources, though I must stress you turn it off when playing video games.
The purpose of it is simply to scare you when you are doing every day things, liking typing a paper/report, browsing the internet, etc. And everything can be controlled by an icon in the taskbar, so it is as user-friendly as it can be without ruining it. I know many of you are wary of downloading programs, which is why I wrote this in VB6 and used the built-in setup for it. You will find a log of everything that is installed, as well as a complete uninstaller. It does not default to load on start-up (in fact, you will have to manually make it load on startup), and can be closed at any moment.
Update: I have added some things, mainly the ability to choose which sound will be played, or use the random sounds.
Update 2: I added some sounds, mainly. Just make sure you uninstall the old version and install the new one, or else you will not be able to uninstall it properly later on.
Update 3: IMPORTANT UPDATE!!! After getting my new monitor, one that is as bright as monitors are supposed to be, I have found several flaws in the program, mainly the fact that the whole screen was not darkened in the same tint, and the settings window may have been displayed oddly, especially when custom Windows skins are being used through programs like WindowsBlinds. My deepest apologies to those who mentioned this, yet I did nothing about this. This version works as it is intended to!!!
Update 4: I have added some new features, most notably the slider in the options panel that controls the opacity of Alma when she appears.
nice idea
my friends are gonna shit their pants...

only thing is...it shows up behind and programs that i am running
